Life Quality Index (LQI)

You want to know what is the best place to live. With the Life Quality Index, or LQI, we make it a lot easier to decide which place is better to live.

The LQI is calculated by combining all our data on transportation, safety, health, affordability, entertainment, demographics, leisure and other essentials for everyday life. All our data comes from very reliable sources, like the MTA, NYPD, Google, Socrata, Foursquare and the U.S. Census to offer you the best information to find the right place to live.

Information

Burnt Oak is a suburb predominantly in the London Borough of Barnet south of Edgware. There were a handful of shops by the 1890s. There was a post office, a grocery and a bakery. A tramway along the Edgware Road to Cricklewood opened in 1905, but the population remained small, by 1921 still only around 1,000. Burnt Oak is well served by buses. Routes 32, 114, 142, 204, 251, 292, 302, 305, and Unobus routes 614 and 644 all meet at the junction of Watling Avenue, Stag Lane and Burnt Oak Broadway. The old route 52 was split into a shorter 52 (coming no closer than Kensal Rise) and new route 302 in 1992.
